Set in the beautiful countryside of Lincolnshire is the village of Appleby. Appleby is a stunning retreat for getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and returning to a more peaceful, rural era. Appleby hosts a number of art and cultural projects and events, as well as fabulous fayre’s. Although there are no shops or public houses to enjoy, Appleby provides the holidaymaker with a great base to explore the surrounding countryside on the many walks and nature trails available to participate in, as well as being fabulous for bird and wildlife watcher’s.
John Moore Heritage Centre

Moira Furnace Museum
Located 5 miles from Appleby is this 19th century blast furnace. Besides learning the history of the furnace there is plenty or other things to do as well, like boat rides along the canal, attend a craft workshop or have fun in the playground.
