Wat Tyler was one of the most influential leaders of the Peasant’s Revolt which took place in the late 14th century. The revolt was begun by the men of Fobbing, located just a few miles from Wat Tyler Country Park.
The park itself covers 125 acres of marsh land and has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
