Holiday Inn Express Exeter

This hotel is special in that it doesn't feel like a chain hotel. Clean, comfortable and convenient, the Holiday Inn Express Exeter is also managed by an efficient and welcoming staff.

Although it doesn't operate a restaurant (it provides a buffet breakfast in the morning), the hotel has the added advantage of being located next door to a pub!

The ruins of Rougemont Castle are also located within the city, as well as the oldest municipal building in England that is still in use, The Guildhall. The famous "House That Moved" is also found in Exeter, earning its name from its history of being moved from its original location on the corner of Edmund Street in order for a new road to be built in its place.

Weighing more than twenty-one tonnes, it was strapped together and slowly moved a few inches at a time to its present day position. The city also has excellent transport links, with two railway stations, an airport and links to the M5 motorway.
