You might not automatically consider pub accommodation for your stay but it’s actually a great choice if you’re looking for cheap and cheerful accommodation in a great location.

Pub accommodation is often like a bed and breakfast, as it offers a real home from home feeling that’s ideal for a short stay. If you’re looking to get away for an inexpensive weekend and a room to lay your head then pub accommodation is probably the best choice because it is much cheaper than staying in a hotel and maybe even a bed and breakfast. One of the main advantages of pub accommodation is that they are often in great central locations for exploring the local area, many are located close to the centres of large towns or cities, but you’ll also find lots of pub accommodation in the countryside, which offers something a little different.

 

The majority of pub accommodation is in larger pubs that also serve food, which means you’ll have everything you need right on your doorstep, so if you’ve had a busy day out and about you don’t need to worry about finding somewhere to eat and drink that evening. It’s important to remember that despite their advantages, pub accommodation is typically going to be quite basic and lack amenities, and as you are usually going to be staying above a pub it’s likely to be quite noisy during the evenings, so it’s important that you consider all of these aspects before booking pub accommodation and feeling disappointed.
